Generally, there is a process of where the manuscript is either accepted or declined. The genre of your manuscript should be submitted to a specific publishing house. Which will later be submitted in a specific market.
2. Production This includes designing, proofreading and printing. The cover and text design can be determined at this stage. They must ensure that the cover suits the genre and style of writing.
3. Marketing and Production Marketing is also present is the production stage, when decisions are being made on what the book physically has to look like in order to compete in the current market.
